David de Gea 'has not been sent home'

Spain goalkeeper David de Gea has reportedly not been sent home from Euro 2016 following his implication in an alleged sexual assault case.

The Manchester United man was named by a protected witness in a case against a porn producer who has been accused of being involved in various offences including human trafficking, paedophilia and abuse.

Reports in the immediate aftermath of the story breaking suggested that De Gea would be sent home from the Spanish camp just three days before the defending champions' opening game, but respected journalist Guillem Balague has claimed that he is still with the national team.

Athletic Bilbao forward Iker Muniain is another of the players named in the allegations in 'the Torbe case'.
