Report: Liverpool make official £20m Adam Lallana bid

Liverpool have reportedly made a £20m offer for Southampton midfielder Adam Lallana.

Lallana, who was named in the England World Cup squad on Monday, has been repeatedly linked with a switch to Anfield.

According to Liverpool Echo, the Reds have made their interest concrete with an official bid to the South Coast club, although the Saints are holding out for £25m for their 26-year-old captain.

Lallana scored nine goals for Southampton this term, and won the club's Player of the Season award.
