Galatasaray lining up Gaston Ramirez bid?

Galatasaray have reportedly emerged as contenders for the signature of Southampton midfielder Gaston Ramirez.

The 22-year-old struggled to live up to his £12m price tag since joining from Bologna last year, and has made just four substitute appearances in the Premier League this term.

Napoli, Inter Milan and Lazio have all been linked with the Uruguayan, who is said to be valued at around £9m, but Turkish newspaper Sabah has claimed that Cimbom will launch a January bid.

Ramirez scored eight goals and assisted four in 33 Serie A appearances for Bologna the season before departing for St Mary's.
