Preview: Southampton vs. Sunderland

Sports Mole previews the Premier League clash between Southampton and Sunderland.

Southampton host Sunderland on Saturday as they look to continue their impressive home form in the Premier League.

The Saints have picked up eight points from their last four home matches and a win against Sunderland will see them overtake their relegation rivals.

Manager Nigel Adkins may be forced into one alteration to the side that beat Reading 1-0 in their last match with Adam Lallana struggling with a knee injury.

Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill will need to decide whether to include striker Steven Fletcher, who has struggled with injury in recent weeks.

Fletcher was withdrawn at half time of last week's 3-1 defeat to Manchester United but O'Neill could decide to risk his in-form forward, who has scored seven goals for the Black Cats this season.

Recent form

Southampton: DWLDLW

Sunderland: LDLLWL

Possible starting lineups

Southampton: K.Davis; Clyne, Yoshida, Fonte, Shaw; Schneiderlin, Cork, Ramirez, Puncheon; Lambert, Rodriguez

Sunderland: Mignolet; O'Shea, Bramble, Cuellar, Larsson; Gardner, Colback, Johnson, McClean, Sessegnon; Fletcher

Sports Mole says: 1-1
