Chris Maguire "annoyed" at lack of action

Sheffield Wednesday striker Chris Maguire has admitted that he 'needs a run of games' in order to show his best form.

The 24-year-old joined Wednesday from Derby County in 2012, but has struggled to secure a first-team spot since making the move.

He told The Star: "If the first team was doing brilliantly, then that would be a reason for me not playing, but things haven't been going that way and I'm a bit annoyed watching it from the stands.

"I need a run of games. I'm still a bit of an unknown to them (the fans) and I'm annoyed as anybody. I come in, work hard in training like everybody."

Maguire has two Scotland caps to his name.
