Sports Mole rounds up Saturday's action in League One, where Sheffield United secured victory in an eight-goal thriller against Bournemouth.

Sheffield United have recorded an astonishing 5-3 victory over Bournemouth in the pick of the matches on Saturday afternoon in League One.

Ryan Flynn scored twice for the hosts as Bournemouth continued their disappointing start to the new season while Bury suffered a 2-0 home defeat to Notts County.

Crawley and Crewe both managed to secure 1-0 triumphs at home to Leyton Orient and Coventry respectively.

Hartlepool secured their first victory of the season, with Jonathan Franks and Lee James scoring their side's opening goals of the campaign against Scunthorpe.

MK Dons continued their solid start at home to Carlisle thanks to goals from Luke Chadwick and Ryan Lowe.

Tranmere kept up their unbeaten start to the new season with a comfortbale 4-0 win at home to Colchester United, the highlight coming in the form of a hat-trick for Jake Cassidy.

Brentford earned a point with a 2-2 draw away to Walsall, while Shrewsbury Town also held Stevenage to a 1-1 draw.

Yeovil Town are second after a late Gozie Ugwu goal at Huish Park secured all three points against Doncaster Rovers.

However, there was more bad news for Portsmouth as the cash-strapped club slumped to a 1-0 home defeat against Oldham in a bad-tempered contest.
