Sevilla deny Yevhen Konoplyanka deal

Sevilla sporting director Monchi has insisted that there is no agreement in place to sign soon-to-be free agent Yevhen Konoplyanka.

The Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk winger is out of contract with the Ukrainian side shortly, and speculation was rife that he would sign for the Rojiblancos.

With Newcastle United and Stoke City reportedly interested, the Spanish club were keen on moving fast to secure his signature, but Monchi says that there is nothing in the pipeline.

He told reporters at a press conference: "There has been no agreement."

The 25-year-old has been at Dnipro since the age of 16.
