Daniel Carrico has signed a new long-term contract with Sevilla.
The 26-year-old initially joined the Spanish side on loan from Reading in the summer of 2013 and impressed during his first season in Spain.
The deal was made permanent this summer and the centre-back has now been rewarded with a new long-term contract, which will keep him at the Estadio Ramon until 2018.
"I'm very happy because I want to stay here for many years. For me, this was a perfect year, with a title, the birth of my daughter and it ends with me signing a new contract," the Portugese told reporters.
"You couldn't ask for a better year. Everyone, from the dressing room to the fans, we all have to move in the same direction to end the season on a high note."
Sevilla return to league action at home to Celta Vigo this weekend.
