Unai Emery: 'Valencia were better than us'

Sevilla boss Unai Emery concedes that his side were not at full flow in Saturday's La Liga clash against Valencia.

Sevilla boss Unai Emery has admitted that Valencia were better than his side in Saturday's La Liga clash at the Estadio Ramon.

The two sides shared the points in a 1-1 draw, with Lucas Orban equalising late on for the away side.

"Analysing the game coolly, I must say they have been better than us at times," he told reporters.

"We didn't manage to be better than them, to impose our game to reach our goal. We were better at times, dominant in midfield, but couldn't get the second goal."

Sevilla finished fifth in La Liga last season in addition to winning the Europa League.
