Steven Naismith: 'Scotland must be positive against Georgia'

Naismith: 'Scotland will attack Georgia'

Steven Naismith has claimed that Scotland will have no choice but to attack Georgia in their Euro 2016 qualifying clash on Saturday.

Gordon Strachan's side started their campaign with an admirable display in a 2-1 defeat to world champions Germany last month, but Naismith believes that the fans will see a different approach this weekend.

"One thing for sure is that we will be more attacking than we were in Germany. We will need to be," the Everton attacker told reporters.

"Being at home you want to get the crowd behind you, dictate the tempo and play an advanced game that creates chances. So that has to be our main aim from the kickoff.

"I think we will be more positive. Playing with two strikers doesn't necessarily mean you are being more positive, but the manager will have a system in mind."

Scotland and Georgia have each recorded a victory in their previous two competitive meetings.
