Sassuolo hold Fiorentina to 0-0 draw

There was no replay of the stunning 4-3 this fixture served up in Florence last season as both sides laboured to a 0-0 draw at the Stadio Artemio Franchi this evening.

Sassuolo, who were without their suspended talisman Domenico Berardi, will be the happier of the two sides as Eusebio Di Francesco's team kept their second clean sheet in succession.

That points towards progress for the team that conceded seven to Inter Milan 10 days ago.

Fiorentina meanwhile will remain in midtable as a result of the draw, but continue to find goals hard to come by.
