Russian Football Federation talk to Fabio Capello

The Russian Football Federation have confirmed that they are speaking with former England manager Fabio Capello about the vacant manager's post.

Capello has been linked with the Russia job in recent weeks, and now the Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko has confirmed negiotiations have begun.

"The Russian Football Union officials received Capello today, and conducted negotiations," he said.

"I think that over the course of a week, certainly by next Tuesday, all the consultations with the managers on our list will be held."

Capello is one of several managers on the shortlist for the job.
