Roma coach Aurelio Andreazzoli praises his side's strong desire to win after they edged Torino 2-1 this afternoon.

Roma coach Aurelio Andreazzoli has declared that his side's will to win proved decisive in this afternoon's 2-1 victory over Torino.

An emphatic drive from Erik Lamela was enough to earn the three points for Roma, who move to fifth in Serie A with the win.

Andreazzoli believes that his team showed strength and resolve to close out an important victory after Federico Balzaretti was shown a second yellow card late on.

He told Sky Italia: "We are happy and satisfied, as we arrived at this game with several problems and were a little worried.

"It was an entertaining game and a tactical one too, but we interpreted it with the right hunger. There were many chances for both sides and we were rewarded for our initiative.

"I would've preferred not to use Francesco Totti at all, but when the team calls then he is always ready. Lamela works hard for the team and now needs to focus on his overall performance rather than just the goals."

Roma are back in action on Wednesday as they face Inter Milan in a rescheduled Coppa Italia semi-final second leg.
