Trapattoni acknowledges mistakes

Republic of Ireland boss Giovanni Trapattoni has admitted that he made some mistakes at Euro 2012.

Ireland, who were unable to earn a single point at the tournament, were eliminated from the competition after finishing at the bottom of Group C. However, the Italian insists that the side has a bright future.

"I have made some mistakes and I do not sleep at night thinking about them," he said.

"The tournament has not been a complete disaster. I remain proud of this group. It will serve as a great experience for us.

"The team can be rejuvenated. There are some interesting talents, starting with Darron Gibson."

Meanwhile, Group C winners Spain will face France tomorrow night.
