Peguy Luyindula rescues a point for New York Red Bulls

Peguy Luyindula scored a 95th-minute equaliser for New York Red Bulls to deny Chivas USA at the death.

Tim Cahill came close to giving the home side an early lead after getting on the end of Thierry Henry's cross, but his header was kept out by Dan Kennedy.

Chivas were ahead shortly after when Richard Eckersley was adjudged to have brought Thomas McNamara down in the penalty area, paving the way for Erick Torres to convert from the spot.

Bradley Wright-Phillips had two opportunities to level when the ball fell to him inside the opposition box, but he was unable to take his chances.

It looked as though the Goats were going to hold out for all three points, until Luyindula scored in the fifth minute of extra time to rescue a point for New York.
