Juan Ignacio Martinez praises Real Valladolid

Real Valladolid boss Juan Ignacio Martinez praises his team's "spirit" after they came from behind to draw 2-2 with Elche at the weekend.

Real Valladolid boss Juan Ignacio Martinez has praised his team following their 2-2 draw with Elche at the weekend.

Martinez's side trailed 2-0 in the second half of the La Liga clash, but a late brace from substitute Hector Osorio secured a share of the spoils.

"Going 2-0 down was a blow," he told reporters at a press conference. "But I have to congratulate the boys for showing such spirit.

"We fought hard, so I'm pleased with my lads for coming away with a point – even though, we went into the game wanting the win.

"We had some opportunities to win it, but we have to be happy a draw after going down like that."

Valladolid currently sit 18th in La Liga.
