Report: Sergio Ramos no closer to new Real Madrid deal

Report: Ramos no closer to new deal

Spanish international Sergio Ramos is reportedly no closer to signing a new deal at Real Madrid.

There is no real urgency over a potential new contract due to the fact that Ramos's current terms will remain active until the summer of 2017.

However, it is believed that the centre-back wants parity with the very top earners at the Bernabeu due to his standing as one of the club's most important players.

According to AS, talks between the two parties have stalled, which has alerted a number of European clubs.

The 29-year-old has won three league titles, two Copa del Reys and one Champions League since joining Real Madrid from Sevilla in 2005.
