Report: Real Madrid to rest Sergio Ramos against Juventus

Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos is expected to sit out Wednesday's Champions League clash against Juventus.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti will reportedly rest Sergio Ramos for Wednesday's Champions League clash against Juventus.

The centre-back, who has had a full programme of football in the early part of the season, is expected to sit out, with Pepe and Raphael Varane starting in central defence.

Speculation in Spain is that Alvaro Arbeloa will return at right-back, with Marcelo operating on the opposite flank and Iker Casillas named between the sticks.

Ancelotti's team selection is expected to reflect the upcoming Clasico against Barcelona at the weekend.
