Report: Casillas to stay at Real Madrid

Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas will reportedly remain with the Spanish outfit until 2017, despite ongoing speculation surrounding his future.

The Spaniard has had a strained relationship with the Real Madrid fans this season, with whistles aimed at the 33-year-old after Saturday's 2-2 draw against Valencia.

It had been claimed that Casillas would seek a move this summer after becoming frustrated with his treatment at the Bernabeu, but according to Marca, the stopper will see out the remaining two years of his contract.

Casillas's future has also been linked to that of Manchester United's David de Gea, who is said to be waiting on Casillas's next move before deciding whether to pen a new contact at Old Trafford.

Casillas has been with Real Madrid since 1990 – making over 700 appearances in all competitions for the Spanish club.
