Real Madrid are reportedly willing to wait to see if Barcelona's negotiations for Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar fall through before pursuing their interest further.

Real Madrid are reportedly willing to wait and see if there is the possibility of bringing Paris Saint-Germain attacker Neymar to the Bernabeu before the end of the transfer window.

The 27-year-old Brazilian international has been heavily linked with a return to Barcelona as he appears set to leave the French capital.

However, Spanish sports daily AS suggests that Real are willing to wait and see if negotiations of a deal to the Camp Nou fall through before pursuing their interest in the player's signature further.

The report adds that Barcelona officials met with Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo earlier this week, with a deal failing to be concluded.

Should the proposed move fall through, it is believed that Madrid expect Paris Saint-Germain will turn to them next as they look to offload the player before the transfer window closes on September 2.
