Prospective new Marseille owner hints at Ronaldo, Zidane moves

Mohamed Ayachi Ajroudi, who is allegedly in talks with current Marseille owner Frank McCourt over a takeover, has hinted that he will attempt to bring Cristiano Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane to the Stade Velodrome should he purchase the club.

The French-Tunisian businessman is said to be locked in negotiations with McCourt over a possible deal, and he has suggested that Juventus attacker Ronaldo could be a target for the Ligue 1 club if an agreement can be reached.

"A player I'll never forget is Cristiano Ronaldo," Ajroudi told El Figaro. "I like respect and discipline and he embodies that. Do I dream about him at Marseille? Everything is possible in life. It's a dream that excites me."

The 35-year-old has been in excellent form for the Old Lady during the 2019-20 campaign, scoring 32 times in 40 appearances in all competitions, including 28 in 28 Serie A outings.

Meanwhile, when asked about a possible move for Real Madrid boss Zidane, he responded: "We'll see what happens in the future."

Andre Villas-Boas has been the manager of Les Phoceens since last summer, winning 18, drawing nine and losing just six of his 33 games in charge of the Ligue 1 team.
