Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has revealed that he expects talks with Cristiano Ronaldo over a new contract to begin in a few weeks.
The Madrid chief said that both he and Ronaldo feel that the Portuguese will end his playing days with Los Blancos and claimed that discussions will start before the month's end.
"At the end of the summer we will try to sort it out, before the month ends, or at the beginning of next month we will sort it," Perez told ESPN.
"Cristiano and I have both said that we believe he will end his sporting life at Real Madrid, there is no big hurry [to begin talks on the contract]."
Ronaldo scored 34 goals in La Liga last season.
