Alvaro Morata 'to push Real Madrid to accept Arsenal move'

Morata 'to push for Arsenal move'

Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata is reportedly keen on moving to Arsenal in the summer as long as the two clubs can agree a fee.

The 21-year-old was heavily linked with a switch to the Emirates during the January transfer window, with some reports suggesting that the Spaniard may leave the Bernabeu on loan.

A move failed to materialise, but the prospect of Morata playing in the Premier League appears to remain a possibility after Spanish journalist Guillem Balague reported that the player wants to join Arsenal.

Balague wrote on Twitter: "Morata has agreed to join Arsenal IF, I repeat IF, I insist IF, clubs agree fee. He will push for Madrid to accept Arsenal's offer."

Morata has failed to secure a regular starting spot in Carlo Ancelotti's Madrid side.
