Real Madrid could reportedly face a similar FIFA transfer ban to the one imposed on league rivals Barcelona, after the governing body launched an investigation into how the club signs young players.
The Catalan giants appealed against the sanction, which stops them from signing any players until 2016, although the Court of Arbitration for Sport upheld the original decision.
Spanish publication Sport claims that Madrid may also be placed under a transfer embargo of their own by FIFA, who are demanding information from a number of clubs regarding the signings of underage players.
It is understood that 20 different teams have been contacted, while Los Blancos president Florentino Perez is keen to get to the bottom of the matter.
Carlo Ancelotti's charges are currently top of the La Liga table.
