Ricardo Carvalho left out of Real Madrid's pre-season squad

Ricardo Carvalho appears to be on his way out of Real Madrid after being left out of Jose Mourinho's pre-season squad for their US tour.

The Portugal international defender, who missed training for Los Blancos on July 16, has fallen down the pecking order in central defence for Mourinho, having started just 10 matches in all competitions last season.

However, midfielders Kaka and Nuri Sahin both travelled with the rest of the Madrid squad to the USA.

Both players have been linked with summer departure, with AC Milan interested in re-signing Kaka and Arsenal reportedly monitoring Sahin.

Madrid's first game on their US tour is against LA Galaxy on August 3.
