Bayern Munich to opt against permanent deal for James Rodriguez?

Bayern to opt against James move?

James Rodriguez has reportedly been left struggling to secure a permanent move to Real Madrid.

James is currently nearing the end of his two-year loan spell at the Allianz Arena, and Bayern hold an option to secure the attacker's services on a permanent basis.

However, according to Bild, Bayern are currently against a deal for the Colombia international due to his bit-part role in Nico Kovac's squad.

James has suffered with injury issues this season, but the 27-year-old has still only made 17 starts for the German giants in the Bundesliga and Champions League.

Kovac also opted to leave James out of his plans for Saturday's top-of-the-table encounter with Borussia Dortmund.

Bayern will have to pay a fee of €42m (£36.21m) if they want to keep the player past the end of this season.
