How Real Madrid could line up against Real Sociedad

How Real Madrid could line up against Real Sociedad

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti is likely to make one change to his side for Saturday's La Liga clash with Real Sociedad in the Spanish capital.

Los Blancos made it four straight wins at the start of the 2023-24 campaign when they beat Getafe before the international break.

Real Madrid did not pick up any fresh injuries during that contest, but Eder Militao, Thibaut Courtois, Arda Guler and Vinicius Junior remain on the sidelines.

Ferland Mendy and Dani Ceballos have also both been out this season; the pair are now back in full training, and the latter is in the squad for this match, but the former remains out.

The one change from the side that started against Getafe could come in central midfield, with Federico Valverde likely to be introduced for Luka Modric.

Neither Modric nor Toni Kroos are considered to be regular starters this term, with Valverde, Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga playing just behind Jude Bellingham.

The England international has been the star of the show for Real Madrid thus far in 2023-24, scoring five goals in his first four appearances following a big-money move from Borussia Dortmund.

Joselu started and scored against Getafe last time out, meanwhile, and the on-loan Espanyol forward is set to continue alongside Rodrygo in the final third of the field.

Real Madrid possible starting lineup: Kepa; Carvajal, Rudiger, Alaba, Garcia; Valverde, Tchouameni, Camavinga; Bellingham; Rodrygo, Joselu
