How Real Madrid could line up against Las Palmas

Despite recovering from a hamstring injury, Vinicius Junior remains a doubt for Wednesday's La Liga clash between Real Madrid and Las Palmas at the Bernabeu, with the Brazilian forward missing Sunday's derby defeat to Atletico Madrid due to illness.

Vinicius failed to make his anticipated return as Los Blancos suffered a 3-1 loss against their cross-city rivals last time out, meaning that Jude Bellingham continued to provide attacking support to Rodrygo, while Luka Modric operated behind the forwards.

Having scored six goals in seven games for his new club, Bellingham will continue in an advanced role on Wednesday, leaving Federico Valverde, Toni Kroos and Eduardo Camavinga to carry out the defensive midfield duties.

With first-choice goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois continuing to recover from an ACL injury, Chelsea loanee Kepa Arrizabalaga will resume his place between the sticks in midweek, having kept two clean sheets in five appearances for Los Blancos.

Antonio Rudiger and David Alaba will resume their partnership at centre-back, with Fran Garcia and Lucas Vazquez expected to occupy the full-back spots, although Ferland Mendy and Dani Carvajal could feature on Wednesday.

In addition to Courtois, Eder Militao and Arda Guler remain sidelined due to knee injuries, giving manager Carlo Ancelotti selection dilemmas in multiple departments.

Real Madrid possible starting lineup: Arrizabalaga; Vazquez, Rudiger, Alaba, Garica; Valverde, Kroos, Camavinga; Modric; Bellingham, Rodrygo
