Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has said that his team put in "a sincere performance" to overcome Las Palmas in Saturday's La Liga clash.
A double from Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema penalty saw Madrid record a 3-0 victory against the struggling Canary islanders.
Zidane decided to leave the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Marcelo and Toni Kroos out of his team ahead of Tuesday's Champions League clash with Juventus, and the Frenchman was pleased with the players that stepped in.
"We put in a sincere performance and it wasn't easy," Zidane told reporters. "We started the game very well and the game wasn't easy for Las Palmas after we scored our first goal. We controlled the game.
"The second half was a bit strange, end to end and a bit crazy. We had plenty of chances to score but weren't able to.
"Still, 0-3 is a good result and I'm happy with the three points. Our centre-backs were phenomenal throughout and Achraf [Hakimi]'s contribution was also very good."
Real Madrid will return to La Liga action against capital rivals Atletico Madrid next weekend.
