Zinedine Zidane pleased with Alvaro Morata, Karim Benzema

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane says that Karim Benzema and Alvaro Morata are "both doing very well" despite the former's struggles this season.

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has refused to be drawn on suggestions that he will replace Karim Benzema with Alvaro Morata following the latter's recent impressive form.

Benzema has only scored four times in 12 appearances for Los Blancos this season, while Morata has registered seven goals in 15 appearances for the Spanish giants after returning from Juventus.

Morata again came off the bench to score in Real Madrid's 4-1 win over Alaves at the weekend, and there is pressure on Zidane to introduce the Spain international to his front-line alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale.

The Los Blancos head coach, however, has insisted that he is pleased with the form of both Benzema and Morata, who are going head to head for the number one striking position at the Bernabeu.

"Morata or Benzema? They're both doing very well. Morata scored and Benzema didn't, but both are doing fine," Zidane told reporters.

European Cup holders Real Madrid will continue their Champions League Group F campaign with a trip to Legia Warsaw on Wednesday night.
