Bernd Schuster: 'Jose Mourinho is not interested in Real Madrid youth team players'

Schuster slams Mourinho

Former Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster has claimed that Jose Mourinho is not interested in promoting the Castilla players in the first team.

The German points out that during his time as Los Blancos coach between 2007 and 2008, he handed debuts to a number of Madrid academy graduates.

"He has done the least amount for the youth team and he will not do any more as he is not interested," Schuster told ABC Punto Radio.

"He only wants to win and he is not interested in bringing a youth player into the senior team and succeeding with that.

"He only wants personal success, and the more titles won in the shortest time possible the better. If we took a list of players that I debuted, then we wouldn't finish."

Mourinho was appointed the Madrid coach in 2010.
