Cristiano Ronaldo could miss Real Madrid's trip to Villarreal at the weekend with a thigh problem.

The Portuguese has been forced to pull out of his country's squad for their friendly with Confederations Cup holders Brazil next week.

According to AS, Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti is fearful that the attacker could miss the La Liga clash as he receives treatment in the Spanish capital.

Gareth Bale is expected to make his debut for the club this weekend.
