Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo pulled out of this afternoon's La Liga match against Espanyol just a week before the Champions League final.

The Portuguese superstar was set to start for Real in their final league game of the season but pulled out injured shortly before kickoff.

Isco took his place in the starting lineup as Madrid look to move up to second ahead of the winner-takes-all showdown between Barcelona and Atletico Madrid later this evening.
