Ronaldo: 'I would like to retire at Real'

Cristiano Ronaldo has reiterated his intention to see out his career at Real Madrid.

The 32-year-old scored a free kick to help Los Blancos to a 1-0 win over Gremio in Saturday's Club World Cup final.

Real's victory in Abu Dhabi makes them the first ever side to retain the trophy in consecutive years, Ronaldo once again making history with the illustrious La Liga club.

When asked by Sky Sports News if he planned to retire at Madrid, Ronaldo said: "I would really like to, but things don't depend on me. What depends on me is what I do on the pitch.

"I am not the one who runs the club, that is for those in charge. My job is on the pitch and I think I am doing it well, the rest I can't control."

Ronaldo signed a new deal at the Bernabeu in November last year which runs until 2021.
