Real Madrid honour Piermario Morosini

Real Madrid have held a minute's silence ahead of their match against Sporting Gijon at the Santiago Bernabeu in honour of Piermario Morosini.

The 25-year-old died on Saturday afternoon following a cardiac arrest during Livorno's Serie B match with Pescara.

Hospital staff had put the player in a medically-induced coma, but he was later pronounced dead.

All Italian matches have been suspended this weekend out of respect for Morosini.
