Sergio Ramos: "We didn't play a great game"

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos says that his side "didn't play a great game" in their 3-2 victory over Deportivo La Coruna.

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has admitted that his side "didn't play a great game" in their last-gasp win over Deportivo La Coruna on Saturday.

The 30-year-old salvaged a point for his side in El Clasico a week earlier and was on hand again in injury time at the Bernabeu to maintain Madrid's six-point advantage at the top of La Liga.

"If you fight to the very end with hope, trust and enthusiasm then this kind of thing can happen," Ramos told reporters afterwards.

"We didn't play a great game and made mistakes. We had a lot of first half chances that we didn't take and then we left space behind for them to take advantage on the counter.

"Yet in the end we achieved our objective, which was to take all three points. Now we will go and enjoy the Club World Cup."

Madrid's first game in the Club World Cup comes against Mexican side Club America on Thursday in Yokohama.
