Jose Mourinho: 'I don't care what people think'

Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has revealed the mentality that he believes gains him an advantage over his managerial rivals.

Mourinho has long been a controversial figure in football, and when speaking at a National Soccer Coaches Association of America event, Mourinho gave an insight into his approach to success.

Spanish newspaper Marca reported that Mourinho said: "The image you send outside is the bad part of assuming responsibility.

"You need to know that, when you do not behave like everyone else, you create negative feelings among people but positive feelings among your own people.

"When you are the leader, you can forget that. I take that on myself. I do not care what other people think, only my own."

Mourinho won a Spanish league and cup double with Real Madrid last season.
