Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho admits that it is "sad" that Jose Rodriguez is struggling to cement a spot in the Castilla team.
Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has revealed his disappointment with the lack of playing time Jose Rodriguez has been given for Castilla.
Despite being promoted to the first-team squad for the Copa del Rey victory over Alcoyano, the midfielder has struggled to cement a regular spot in the reserve side under Alberto Toril.
Mourinho said: "Jose Rodríguez, who you like so much, doesn't get a game for Castilla, while others do despite being 24 years old. It's really sad.
"I have my autonomy, and Toril has his. I do what I want with the first team and he does what he wants with the second string. I have an opinion, and my opinion isn't going to change"
Mourinho's side are currently fourth in La Liga.
