However, the likes of Herrera, Llorente, Felipe and Vitolo will all be hoping for some minutes in the second period as Simeone prepares to shuffle his pack. Real Madrid, meanwhile, have had to replace Jovic with Benzema, but the likes of Carvajal, Mariano, Lucas, Rodrygo and Varane are all in reserve. It will also be fascinating to see whether Gareth Bale comes on as the Welshman continues to be linked with a move to China.
