How Real Madrid could line up against Celta Vigo

Sports Mole looks at how Real Madrid could line up in Saturday's La Liga clash with Celta Vigo.

Real Madrid will be aiming to record their 11th La Liga victory of the campaign when they welcome Celta Vigo to the Spanish capital on Saturday night.

Los Blancos had won five straight matches in Spain's top flight before being held to a 1-1 draw by Elche on Wednesday, which moved them onto 33 points from 16 matches.

Zinedine Zidane's side are currently second in the table, two points behind leaders Atletico Madrid, although the latter have two games in hand over the reigning champions.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Madrid could line up against an in-form Celta.

Madrid's squad is in excellent shape at the moment in terms of injuries, with only Rodrygo Goes, who could be out for the next three months with a hamstring problem, unavailable for selection.

Zidane is expected to resist the temptation to make wholesale changes on Saturday night, meaning that Luka Modric, Casemiro and Toni Kroos could again line up as the midfield three in a 4-3-3 formation.

There is likely to be a change at left-back, though, with Ferland Mendy set to replace Marcelo, while there could also be an alteration on the left side of the attack.

Lucas Vazquez and Karim Benzema are set to fill two of the three positions in the final third, but Vinicius Junior could come in for Marco Asensio.

Eden Hazard appeared as a late substitute against Elche as he works his way back from a muscular problem, but the Belgium international is not yet ready for a start and should again be on the bench.
