Real Madrid's Sergio Ramos 'in line to return for second leg against Chelsea'

Ramos 'in line to return for second leg against Chelsea'

Sergio Ramos will reportedly make his return from injury in Real Madrid's Champions League semi-final second leg against Chelsea next week.

The 35-year-old has been absent since the middle of March with a calf problem and has been left out of the squad to face Osasuna in La Liga on Saturday.

However, according to Marca, Ramos trained alongside his teammates on both Thursday and Friday, and the club captain is expected to feature at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea on May 5.

The Spain international had only just returned from a knee problem when he suffered a calf injury, and the defender has also recently spent time away from the training ground due to coronavirus.

Ramos's future at the Bernabeu, meanwhile, continues to be called into question, with his current deal due to expire at the end of June.

Manchester United are allegedly still interested in the former Sevilla youngster and could attempt to sign him on a free transfer ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.
