Madrid 'annoyed at Hazard staying with Belgium'

Real Madrid are reportedly annoyed with Eden Hazard after the winger remained on international duty with Belgium.

After his first campaign at the Bernabeu was hampered by injuries, Hazard is under pressure to make a positive impact over the next nine months.

Despite not being match fit, the playmaker was called up for Belgium's recent fixtures against Denmark and Iceland by Roberto Martinez, who felt that the 29-year-old could act as a positive influence in the dressing room.

According to AS, Real requested that Hazard make an early return to Spain, only for last summer's big-money addition to stay with his national team.

With Hazard needing to improve his fitness ahead of the new season, Real have allegedly been left frustrated with the recent developments.

Hazard did not play a single minute in the double-header which took place on Saturday and Tuesday respectively.
