Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Eden Hazard will miss Sunday's La Liga clash with Granada due to illness.
The injury-plagued attacker continues to struggle to make his mark at the Bernabeu and has only started four La Liga games for Los Blancos this term.
Hazard has played just 33 minutes of Real's last three top-flight matches, and Ancelotti has now confirmed that the Belgium international will miss yet another game this weekend.
Speaking to reporters at his pre-game press conference, Ancelotti said: "He is out [for tomorrow's match] with gastroenteritis. It's not covid."
The Italian also addressed Hazard's lack of minutes, adding: "It would bother me if he was happy with his situation. And he is not. His situation is that of a player who isn't playing a lot."
Ancelotti has admitted that Hazard is down the pecking order in Madrid, although Real are not thought to be in talks with any clubs over a possible sale.
The former Chelsea man has just one assist to his name in all tournaments this term and has scored just five times in 54 appearances for the capital giants.
