Gareth Bale doubtful for Rayo Vallecano clash

A foot injury may keep Gareth Bale out of Real Madrid's away match at neighbours Rayo Vallecano.

Carlo Ancelotti has admitted that Gareth Bale is a doubt for Real Madrid's trip to Rayo Vallecano tomorrow night.

The Wales international has not trained since the weekend's 9-1 hammering of Granada because of a foot injury.

With the Rayo game on the horizon, Ancelotti has hinted that he may not risk the 25-year-old's fitness.

"Bale has a bang to his left foot. We must weigh it up tomorrow, then pick the team," he told reporters.

Bale has scored 17 goals from his 40 appearances in all competitions this season.
