Real Madrid team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Real Betis

Real Madrid injury, suspension list vs. Betis

Real Madrid will be looking to build on Wednesday's impressive 5-0 win over Leganes when they welcome Real Betis to the Bernabeu this weekend.

Zinedine Zidane's side put five unanswered goals past Leganes to move into second position in La Liga, just one point off leaders Barcelona with both teams having played 10 matches.

Los Blancos have only managed back-to-back league wins on one occasion this season, though, and the capital giants will be determined to put another three points on the board on Saturday night.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Madrid's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash.

Marco Asensio

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Marco Asensio faces a battle to play again this season after suffering a serious knee injury during the team's preparations for the 2019-20 campaign. A timeframe on his return has not yet been set by the club.

Nacho

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Nacho could miss the rest of 2019 after picking up a knee injury during the recent Champions League clash with Club Brugge. The versatile defender's return has been pencilled in for the end of December.

Gareth Bale

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Calf Possible return date: November 2 (vs. Real Betis)

Gareth Bale picked up a calf problem during Wales's Euro 2020 qualifier with Croatia earlier this month, which has seen him miss Madrid's last three matches in all competitions. The attacker could be available this weekend, though, as the issue is not believed to be serious.

REAL MADRID'S SUSPENSION LIST

Madrid have no players suspended for this match and will welcome back Spanish defender Alvaro Odriozola, who was unavailable to face Leganes as he served a one-game ban.
