Real Madrid will welcome Atletico Madrid to Bernabeu on Tuesday night for the first leg of their Champions League last-16 clash.

Los Blancos will enter the contest off the back of a 2-1 defeat to Real Betis in La Liga, and they have since dropped to third position in the table, with the capital giants suffering a title setback in Seville.

Real Madrid will be bidding to secure an advantage in their home fixture against Atletico ahead of the second leg against Wanda Metropolitano on March 12.

Dani Carvajal

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Real Madrid will be without the services of Carvajal for the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign due to the severe knee injury that the right-back suffered in the clash with Villarreal on October 5.


Eder Militao

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Real Madrid will be without the services of Militao for the remainder of the campaign, as the Brazilian centre-back damaged his ACL during the clash with Osasuna back in November.


Jesus Vallejo

Status: Out Type of injury: Thigh Possible return date: Unknown

Real Madrid are currently without the services of Vallejo due to a thigh problem, with his injury being confirmed ahead of the team's Copa del Rey semi-final first leg against Real Sociedad last week.


Federico Valverde

Status: Major doubt Type of injury: Fatigue Possible return date: March 4 (vs. Atletico)

Valverde has missed Real Madrid's last two matches due to muscular fatigue, and he was also absent from training on Sunday, with Los Blancos seriously sweating over his fitness for this game.


Dani Ceballos

Status: Out Type of injury: Thigh Possible return date: Unknown

Ceballos has been in excellent form for Real Madrid of late, but the midfielder is facing a period on the sidelines due to the muscular issue that he suffered in the latter stages of Wednesday's clash with Real Sociedad.

Jude Bellingham

Status: Out Possible return date: March 9 (vs. Rayo Vallecano)

Real Madrid will again be missing Bellingham through suspension against Atletico, with the midfielder picking up a milestone yellow card against Manchester City in the team's last Champions League clash.

Bellingham has also missed Real Madrid's last two La Liga matches through suspension, but he will be able to return to the field against Rayo Vallecano in Spain's top flight next weekend.
