Barcelona head into their latest El Clasico showdown with Real Madrid looking to earn bragging rights over their fierce rivals heading into the Christmas period.

While neither team have produced their best form this season, the result of Wednesday night's clash could prove decisive in the La Liga title race.

The Catalan giants were held to a 2-2 draw by Real Sociedad on Saturday, which ended their run of seven successive wins in all competitions.

Ousmane Dembele

Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: February 16 (vs. Getafe)

Dembele was ruled out for 10 weeks after sustaining a thigh injury in the 3-1 win over former club Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League at the end of last month. The Frenchman will hope to be back in contention for the first leg of the knockout stages.

A report has suggested that making the decision to snowboard while on holiday has contributed to Arthur's absence from the first-team squad. Having missed three games in succession, it is unlikely that the Brazilian will return for Wednesday's fixture.
