Half-Time Report: Goalless between Elche, Real Madrid

Elche and Real Madrid head into the half-time break without troubling the scoresheet at the Martinez Valero.

The home side twice came close to breaking the deadlock in the first half, with Diego Lopez on hand to deny them on both occasions.

It was David Lomban who first called him into action after meeting Coro's free kick at the back post in the 12th minute, but the Spanish goalkeeper was alert to the danger.

Five minutes later, Javi Marquez found space in the area but shot straight at the 31-year-old stopper.

Both teams showing plenty of attacking intent in the first half, but the scoreline remains goalless.
