Joe Allen: 'Gareth Bale is unaffected by his Real Madrid troubles'

Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen has played down suggestions that Gareth Bale's Real Madrid troubles will translate to Wales's national side.

Bale has come under fire in the Spanish capital of late, and the world's most expensive player saw his car attacked by disgruntled supporters after last week's El Clasico loss to Barcelona at Camp Nou.

However, Allen dismissed the prospect of Bale's form suffering because of his issues in Madrid, and talked up the talent of his international teammate.

"There's no signs of [him struggling], he's a world-class player and it is obvious in every minute of every session," Allen told Sky Sports News.

"It's hard to believe really but from a Welsh point of view, I don't think Israel will be looking forward to playing against him.

"He's someone that has never been fazed by anything and it won't have an impact on him like that and I don't think anyone is seriously doubting his ability."

Chris Coleman's side travel to Israel on Saturday in a Euro 2016 qualifier.
