Ronaldo pays for boy's cancer treatment

Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo and his agent Jorge Mendes have covered the cost of a nine-year-old boy's cancer treatment.

It is understood that Nuhazet's parents took the youngster to the Bernabeu last month to meet his heroes, and upon hearing the story, Ronaldo offered to pay for top medical facilities.

"In the hospital, they gave us three options: do nothing, carry out experimental tests or send a biopsy to the United States so they could produce personalised medication," Nuhazet's father told AS.

Ronaldo is currently on Euro 2012 duty with Portugal.
